Yoga-Life-Hacks for Re-Sourcing Your Trauma
Learn simple coping mechanisms inspired by breath, meditation and laughter (as your best medicine). Explore embodied healing practices & alternative modalities to re-wire your brain, boost your mood, enhance your immunity & re-write (right) your trauma. Trauma is defined as “an event that overwhelms an individual’s ability to cope, causes feelings of helplessness, diminishes their sense of self and their ability to feel the full range of emotions and experiences.”
Yoga is a "con-job" for the nervous system, designed to shape shift your physiology: to guide you out of the chaos of survival brain (fight/flight/ freeze) into the safety & clarity of the present moment (rest/restore).
Do you find...your emotions are irregular & so are your bowels, your responses aren’t measured nor are your portions, you are overwhelmed by fearful noise & your focus erratic, you’re gripping the rails of this corona-coaster, holding on for dear life, as your moods swing out of control…Sound familiar?
You are not alone. I created this course because I needed some new yoga tricks to stop the over-whelm and lighten the F*** UP!
“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” ~ Maya Angelou
Do not be reduced by the times. There is hope for healing.
Let’s do the work of healing together.
Take steps toward resilience with a therapeutic breath based approach: yin, restorative yoga, somatic movement, Feldenkrais method, release techniques (tremoring, tapping, laughing), couch yoga, guided hypnotic meditation, yoga nidra, body mind centering, vagus nerve & nervous system hacks, etc. Perfect for all levels.

Hi, I’m Suzy Nece
This is me in one of my many awkward stages!
Growing pains come with all of life's challenges.
Like you, I've had my share of bumps, bruises and even braces on my path to resilience. Always searching for yoga-life-hacks, tricks & tools, to help me adapt in the face of adversity, bounce back and find the hope to cope.
Every morning I wake up (scream at the breaking news on my phone), put on my yoga pants (one leg at a time), and choose spandex over xanax!
Sure, xanax treats anxiety & panic disorders by increasing the neurotransmitter GABA and promoting a calm, relaxed feeling .... Guess what...So does yoga & meditation... No Joke!
Yes, it's a little more work to rely on the physiology of the breath to retrain your brain and trust in your body's own natural pharmacy...but how empowering to discover the tools to defuse your triggers, lighten a lifetime of stress and open you to joy.
I created this course because
I NEEDED IT.
This dog was feeling down and needed to learn some new tricks. While struggling to manage the corona-coaster of mental, emotional & physical stress, I needed some new yoga tricks to stop the over-whelm and lighten the F*** UP!
This series is a sampling of movement, meditations & mindful practices for you to explore with healthy boundaries & no agenda, free of expectations & open to interpretation.
I am throwing the "kitchen sink of stress-busters" at you.
I have compiled a series of my “go to” therapeutic yoga teaching practices, for you to explore the shape that healing takes in your own body. No two people are the same. Your unique spirit & the challenges you face as an individual, require a dynamic yoga prescription just for you.
“We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.” ~ Albert Einstein
Take what works for you & leave the rest. There is not just one path to healing. Carve your way though. Breathe into a good feeling, make peace with ‘what is’ and lean into the support of these daily healing rituals to build resilience in uncertain times.
